The late Alan Bloom’s world famous gardens and steam museum are now also host to the Dad’s Army Museum which houses a replica of the set used on the B.B.C. Television series as well as many genuine props. Most of the surviving cast members make frequent visits to the museum.

The Steam Museum is a living museum and is home to three narrow gauge railways as well as many full sized engines. Thomas the Tank Engine is a frequent visitor. It is now also the home to ‘The Royal Scot’ This famous engine is undergoing a complete renovation in the museum’s engineering workshops. It is advisable to visit the museum’s web-site at www.bressingham.co.uk to check for the dates of ‘steam days’. These vary with the time of year
